Three women killed after gunman's drunken rampage in Swiss village
Thu Jan 3, 2013
Askandreceive--so long a statement with so many misstatements. The vast majority of guns used for illegal activities are also obtained illegally, and the vast majority of those are handguns.
Venezuela VP: Chavez suffers 'new complications'

Adios, Hugo. Enjoy Hell.
'Aloha': Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii dies at 88
Mon Dec 17, 2012
I'm also a Texan by birth, conscience and loyalty and also a conservative that leans far more GOP than Dem, but that was a colossally stupid comment. Whatever Inouye's political affiliation, he was a staunch patriot, an extremely brave man, and a selfless public servant for almost half a century.
Conn. massacre: Lessons from Israel, where guns are a way of life
Mon Dec 17, 2012
Actually, Belle, you could have had concrete stats just by asking Google--Israel's rate of violent death is half our's, and their rate of murder by firearms is 0.83/100K people compared to 9.2/100K for the U.S. Beyond that, I agree with everything you had to say.
US-born heiress clutching a cocaine pipe when found dead in London home, coroner says
Fri Dec 14, 2012
Mister Fids--that was a truly, TRULY moronic comment. "Get a think on that"?? What does that even mean? Apparently, stupidity like your's and jetjockey's is not a deterrent to posting inane comments.
Same-sex wife of Army officer banned from joining Fort Bragg spouses club
Fri Dec 14, 2012
The "freaks" in this case are analogous to the inmates running the asylum. Having been in the Army for 23 years and counting, this kind of crap is something that doesn't surprise me in the least.
Senior al-Qaida leader killed in drone strike in Pakistan, jihadis, US officials say
Fri Dec 7, 2012
Something tells me he'll be a complete sot in no time.
The 2012 White House holiday card stars Bo!
Thu Dec 6, 2012
george, wake up. You're looking in a mirror.
EXCLUSIVE: US, NATO behind 'insecurity' in Afghanistan, Karzai says
Thu Dec 6, 2012
Our FOUR borders? I'm not sure what good posting troops along our Atlantic/Gulf and Pacific shores will accomplish, and using tactical military forces to enforce border security--basically a police function handled quite well by ICE and the Border Patrol with FBI support when they're adequately fun …
Costas: We need to talk about America’s gun culture
Tue Dec 4, 2012
Costas admits he shot from the lip and only presented one aspect of the gun control argument, and a simplistic one it was. For his premise to hold any validity, it would have to pass the smell test on two points. First, gun control advocates love to refer to a "Wild West gun culture" in …

Teenage girl calls cops to report mom having loud sex
Gee, must have missed that. Where does it say the mom was "screaming her lungs out"? For all we know, the little prima dona had her ear pressed to the wall and chose a golden opportunity to be a brat and get rid of mom's boyfriend she didn't care for.
Steve and lukebandit--you two desperately need to get laid, even if it's with each other. Jeez!!
klilly and mommynurse--we need a lot more parents like you. Mohamed--see my comments to Steve and lukebandit--you guys could make a threesome. You're all equally pompous dimwits.
I think you nailed, Realist. Daughter didn't care for boyfriend, was probably ticked at mom, wanted to get back at both of them, saw her chance and Presto! Smug little twit, I hope she's grounded till she's old enough to vote.
Northern Red--I hereby add you to klilly and mommynurse on my list of the type of parents we need a hell of a lot more of.
livia--being a little judgmental, are we? Nowhere in the article does it tell us how long these two have been together, nor do we know the nature/depth of their relationship, how this single mother feels about her child, or why you would find their situation "sad".
Old Left--"freedom to shriek"? Like that better? And, yes, I finished 9th grade. Twice. So there.
magpie et. al.--I'll bet you guys were really popular in high school.
Rebecca--absolutely. It happens. Get over it.
Jessi--well put and to the point. Cergy--that's a heck of a lot of "maybe" and "perhaps" you're working into this. Basically, you have no idea what you're talking about, want to make a personal point at the expense of a single parent (and her companion), and choose to imagine the worst.
And your evidence for that is....?
livia--you don't know the answers to any of the questions you've asked. You just choose to imagine the worst.
Neighborofthebeast--give it up. You're trying to use logic with illogical people. That's like trying to teach a pig to tapdance--doomed to failure and it annoys the pig.
Robert--sex is....SACRED? Oooookay. Can I go to YOUR church??
